Byron Bay to Brisbane. Up to 420 kilometres and 4,500 metres of climbing. Three days in September.

While cycling through northern NSW in spring with friends sounds appealing, that isn't my motivation.

Brain cancer took my mother, and a mentor who helped shape my career. My friend Stuart had cancer and survived. When he invited me to ride with him, I thought about what this ride is for, and who I'd be riding with, and that was enough.

I work in healthcare technology, improving health systems in Australia and globally. This ride is the same mission, with better scenery.

Spirit to Cure is Suncorp's fundraising event for Tour de Cure, raising money for cancer research. My goal is $2,000. I'd like to exceed it.
